Ah, that last vision of the future from French writer, illustrator and caricaturist Albert Robida (1848-1926) was so impressive, I feel we have to go back for more.

So here we are with one of his visions from 1890 of a fabulous flying machine over a futuristic city. It ain't "Blade Runner," but then again... imagine if this HAD been the setting for the classic replicant yarn. At any rate, Robida was a key figure in the birth of science fiction, so it's hard to imagine any of our sci-fi standards without him.
