So, as promised, here's a quick sketch of Randy Cerveny's take on Hell's weather. We do our best to explain all of this in the "Science of Hell" episode, but I realize it's a very visual thing. So I grabbed my crayons and markers and did this. The arrows illustrate the movement of air in two circulation cells. And if you just want a good map of Dante's Hell in general, I recommend this one. And, as always, my preferred translations of "The Divine Comedy" are the Robert M. Durling ones.
